Preheat oven to 175°C. Pour beans into a covered casserole dish. Combine the water with the cornflour in a small bowl until cornflour dissolves. Stir mixture into the beans. Stir the remaining ingredients into the beans and cover the dish. Bake for 90 minutes or until sauce has thickened. Stir every 30 minutes. Let beans sit for 5 to 10 minutes after removing them from the oven before serving.
