Chocolate Orange Clafoutis

115 g butter

115 g sugar

115 g self raising flour

50 g cocoa powder

3 eggs

1 tsp vanilla essence

1 orange, peeled and cut into small pieces

For the Vanilla cream:

150 ml double cream

2 tsp icing sugar

½ vanilla pod, seeds only

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

For the chocolate and orange clafoutis, in a blender mix all the ingredients, except the orange, until smooth.

Grease a 12.5-cm cake ring or loose-bottomed cake tin and place on a baking tray. Pour the clafoutis mixture into the tin.

Place the orange pieces into the top of the clafoutis.

Place into a preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.

For the vanilla cream, whisk the cream with the icing sugar and vanilla seeds until thick.

Remove the clafoutis from the tin and serve with the vanilla cream.

Servings: 4
