Caramelized Apple Clafoutis

900 g apples

50 g butter

½ cup brown sugar

1/3 cup caster sugar

1/3 cup plain flour

1/3 cup self-raising flour

4 eggs, lightly beaten

2/3 cup milk

2/3 cup cream

80 g butter, melted

Preheat oven to 180°C.

Peel and slice apples.

Fry apples in a frying pan with the butter until browned.

Add brown sugar and cook for 5 more minutes.

Allow apples to cool and then place in a greased oven proof dish.

Whisk the eggs, milk, cream and butter until combined.

Fold in caster sugar and sifted flours.

Pour the batter over the apples and bake in the oven for 40 minutes.

Servings: 6

Oven Temperature: 180°C

Cooking Time: 40 minutes
