apple; peeled, and chopped

brown sugar

ground cinnamon

walnuts; chopped

Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Cut in shortening.

Combine egg and milk. Add to flour mixture; mix until flour is just dampened.

Fold in apple.

Fill greased muffin tins to ½ full.

Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts. Sprinkle over batter.

Bake at 200°C for 25 minutes.
